Sounds was a British music magazine published weekly from October 10, 1970 to April 6, 1991. The magazine, which was spreading the cutting-edge music of the times, would later fly the punk banner high with the addition of a young editor, and was the first tabloid to focus on punk, among the many others such as MELODY MAKER, NME (NEW MUSIC EXPRESS), RECORD MIRROR, etc. SOUNDS. It started the year of the “punk revolution” with a feature on Johnny Rotten, not to mention triggering PUK LIVES and NOIZE punk and new wave magazines. However, due to declining circulation, the magazine was discontinued in 1991. Later, as a legacy of Sounds, the heavy metal/rock magazine Kerrang! was born. This issue is an anthology selected from each decade from the dawn of punk to the golden age of punk: 1977, 1978, and 1979. In recent years, original tabloid magazines have been sold at high prices and their existence has been declining. This is a rare and valuable book compiled by the topic of each year.

The book is composed of clippings from the 1979 British music tabloid SOUNDS and other magazines such as NME and ZIGZAG, as well as numerous reports, reviews, and interviews by journalists and photographers of the time. Cover color article B&W
