The second official product to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the formation of SEX PISTOLS. This is the second official item to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original SEX PISTOLS. for the PISTOLS’ last Christmas gig in the UK.
Malcolm McLaren likens the members of the Pistols at the time to the street children in Charles Dickens’ “Oliver Twist”, and this graphic is taken from an illustration that appeared in the first edition of “Oliver Twist”. The design is highly symbolic, concentrating the provocativeness of PUNK, the venom of English literature, and McLaren’s unique sense of direction.
