The classic summer pile wristband, new colors for this summer.
Joe Strummer wore a wristband in this color scheme when he participated in the 1983 London Marathon.
Skinny punk rocker and marathon, a seemingly conflicting combination, but Joe ran the marathon that year as one runner among the general public.
He wore a white Riot T-shirt with cut-off sleeves and a “D198” number on his chest, running pants with three rasta-colored lines, Adidas sneakers, and this wristband on his right arm. The black and red color scheme recalls the color scheme of the anarchy flag.
